Hearing God Speak through His Word

"But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word
in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance."
-- Luke 8:15 (NASB)

Psalm 89:30-37 • God Is Not Throught With Israel Yet

Posted Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at 12:12 am

“‘If his sons forsake My law
And do not walk in My judgments,
If they violate My statutes
And do not keep My commandments,
Then I will punish their transgression with the rod
And their iniquity with stripes.
But I will not break off My lovingkindness from him,
Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
My covenant I will not violate,
Nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.
Once I have sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David.
His descendants shall endure forever
And his throne as the sun before Me.
It shall be established forever like the moon,
And the witness in the sky is faithful.’”
    —Psalm 89:30-37 (NASB)

I just want you to take your time with this direct quote from God Himself. There are those who propose that God is through with Israel and that anything in the Bible which originally applied to “Israel” no longer literally applies to Israel but now applies spiritually to the church. If God’s promises do not apply literally to Israel, then how can you be assured He will keep His promises to the church? God is not through with Israel yet.†††
